The trial of Charles Taylor before the Special Court for Sierra Leone sitting in The Hague resumes this morning as lead prosecutor Brenda Hollis is expected to continue her direct examination of witness Varmuyan Sherif.  We will continue to live-blog the proceedings.  As always, this summary should not be considered as a direct transcript, and may contain some errors despite our efforts to make it as accurate as possible.

The proceedings began at 9:00 (8:00 in Sierra Leone and Liberia), but with a half-hour delay to the media center here at the facilities of the International Criminal Court, our rolling summary won’t begin until 9:30.
